Isaiah 40: 28-31

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Now last week we learned that the Morning Time Church studied God’s Word and Prayed continually.

They were steadfast in everything that they did!

I want to bring you back to the place where you see this word of God that we have, is the most powerful thing that God ever let loose on this earth!
Aman, right here is Power to save men, the Power to save homes, the Power to save cities and nations!

It is the most Powerful thing that was ever loosed in the hearts and minds of mankind!

I say that if we ever need to spend time with, and pray over, and spend plenty of time studying with it’s the preparing of a message from God’s eternal word!

I say that the value of the message needs to arise again in the pulpit and not stop there but it also needs to arise again in the pew.

We as preachers first of all need to spend time in prayer before God for the ministry of the word, that we can know and have a divine authority to speak in, so that people will be convinced that were preaching God’s word not a message from us, but that we are preaching God’s word!

And you will receive it that way, and friend let me tell you that when you receive as God’s Word, you will be receiving it as a message of Power!

That’s able to do things, so I repeat that much of the power of that morning time church laid in the ministry, cause they gave themselves continually to prayer!

I know that is not the way that most preachers preach today.

They sugar coat, and they compromise, they will have quick little sermons that they have memorized for years and make you think that if you are in church every Sunday that everything will be all right!

But friend I am wasting my time and yours if I preach that way, if I try to make you think that everything will be all right if you will just go to church, then I am not doing you justice as a minister of the word of God.

Like I said last week and other times before it’s not the fact that you go to church, it’s do you have the church in you!

Do you have God in your hearts?

If you do not have that desire to change your ways and to ask God into your hearts, and to have a burning desire in your hearts to want to live for Him then you are wasting your time!

And by that I mean, that the day will come when you will die, and all of us are going to do that, and you will think that you are going to heaven, and that is not going to happen!

Friends let me tell you this morning that the way is straight and narrow and few there will be that find it!

We need to make the decision while we still can that we want to live for God, to serve Him, to witness for Him, to give daily study time to His word and to continue in prayer always!

Oh we pray for God to bring back some old fashioned God fearingness back on the people, but we don’t really mean it.

Because if we really meant it we would understand that the only way it will come back on the people is through you and I.

See we want God to send it some other way, but He isn’t going to do it.

If fear ever comes back on every soul around it will come because God’s people, get back to an old fashioned measuring up, to God’s Word,

And let God’s Word take the rightful place in their heart and life, and then they are not off and on with it, but they continue steadfast.

You show me any group of people that gets steadfast in the doctrine, steadfast in the fellowship, and I’ll show you a group of people that begins to affect the world around them!

People will begin to open up there eye’s, there’s a people that believe what they are preaching, there’s a people that are really serving God!

Like I told you last week, the devil wants us to be short of that today, he will let you come here with a bible, he will let you teach a lot of scripture, he will let you hook them together, use illustrations and preach messages.

He will let you do all of that, he will let you gather together and listen to the message, he won’t stop that, it’s going on, it’s growing, there are church’s popping up on every street corner, and what’s happening?

While the world is growing worse and worse.

It is proving to us that the devil doesn’t care how much of that go’s on, the thing that he doesn’t want you to do, is to be steadfast, get right down to business of being steadfast,

Why?

When we are steadfast, holding right on to God’s word, and live a life of prayer, we step over to a power that he can’t handle!

We step over into a power that he can’t oppose to the place of stopping us, we are out of his control, we have stepped into a power that Jesus said he give us.

That we would have power over every power of the enemy.

And that’s the power of the Holy Spirit!

Thank God through the Holy Spirit we have power over every power of the enemy,

So the ministry, they spent there time continually in prayer and the ministry of the word, and the saints, they continued steadfast in the apostles doctrine and fellowship, breaking of bread and prayer.

Friends the more that they called on God, the more He revealed Himself.

Every time that they got together and had a prayer meeting, the place that they were in got shook.

And when that place got shook the whole city got shook!

God over and over and over this morning tells us in His word to ask Him, ask Him, other places He said prove Me in seed.

I know that I might be hitting a sour note to some of you, but it’s a sour note of truth.

Now starting with out text in Isaiah 40: we find that the prophet here speaking in prophetic language,
No doubt Isaiah spoke many things he didn’t understand, that’s why he cried out in the 66th chapter and other places in his writings, who had ever heard of such a thing.
It was beyond him, and many of his prophesies fit the very day and age in which we are living.
28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary?

We have people saying today that God is dead, but He hasn’t even gotten tired, now come on I want you to read all of it,

There is no searching of his understanding.

That just means according to Ecclesiastes 11 and 5 that you can’t search out God’s understanding, you can go to all of the college’s on the face of the earth, and reach the highest apex,

and still be ignorant to the understanding of the things of God,

You can’t get it by searching, thank God it’s a revelation, it’s a gift, He freely gives us, and let’s listen to what he said, the 28th verse said,

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, well heard what?

29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

Now why did Isaiah ask that question?

Have you not known, have you not heard, that God gives Power to everyone that asks Him?

Oh yeah, we knew that. Then how come you don’t have Power?

That’s what Isaiah is asking. What is your reason for not having Power?

Didn’t you know it? Haven’t you ever heard it?

Oh yeah, we know it, we have heard it, well then how come you don’t have Power?

Here is what the prophet wants to know.

Aman, it doesn’t take any certain degree of wisdom, no certain degree of understanding, listen to it now, He gives power to the faint, and to them that have no might, He increases strength.

And then He give us understanding, to let us know that this strength and might that He gives us is not human, cause He said, in the 30th verse,

30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

Merely teaching us this my friend, that this is something, Aman, beyond the human.
See we have got too many people that go around saying, oh if I was only younger, I could do things for God,

Well God never called Moses until he was 80, He figured that he was just getting in good shape to go.

AMAN, now you might say, what are you talking about?

I am telling you that you have to throw all of your excuse’s out,

The young people are not getting settled down and steadfast because they are too young.

And the old can’t do it because they are too old, and the middle aged are too busy raising your family,

Now the prophet makes it plain that when it comes to walking with God, when it comes to walking a Powerful and Godly life,

There’s not a young man with all of the strength that he’s got can do it!

He will fall on his face!

There’s not a strong man living that can walk strong enough and high enough and long enough to please God!

Everyone of them will come short, but no matter how young you are or how old you are if you will wait upon the Lord,

He will renew your strength, thank God where you can walk like God wants you to walk, and be what God wants you to be!

This power belongs to God, but He has only got it to give to us,

He wants us to have it, who gets it?

Everybody that waits upon the Lord!

Oh, Brother Pruitt, do you think that He is talking about that?

Listen friend, that waiting on the Lord, he said in Isaiah 40:31

31 But they (after He let us know that human strength got nothing to do with it, they all failed.

Did you ever see anybody humanly try to walk with God, and live for God, just change there mind I am going to do different, it only takes just a few hours and they are on there face, right down in the mud again.

Why?
Human strength is out of the question.

This thing of living Godly and righteously, human strength don’t enter into it.

Now come on, we have give excuses too long, here they go, you don’t know how bound I’ve been,

You don’t know how weak I’ am.

Human strength has nothing to do with it, come on, if human strength had anything to do with it I couldn’t have made it.

Brother, when the devil got done with me, when I come to Jesus, I didn’t have any human strength.

I was bound, I had exhorted and wore out all of my human strength trying to overcome the devil by myself!

Now human strength is out of the question, we have got to look away from ourselves.

Right here is one of our hindrances today.

Aman, we can’t get away from home.

The reason that we can’t get away from home is, were all tied up in ourselves.

Now I want to get this settled and we are going on.
Human strength is out of the question.

Come on, if you little frail weak older people this morning weighed 250 lbs and had biceps that measured 18 inches around, you couldn’t do a bit more for God in the thought of walking with God than you can right now with you frail body.

This thing is done by the Power of God!
None of us can, excuses and self can’t do it, it takes the strength that comes only from God, you cannot stop smoking on your own, you cannot stop drinking on your own, you cannot stop living a life of sin on your own, it is not humanly possible.

They say that they will never be able to have the understanding that others have, friends there is no searching for this understanding, it’s a gift from God!

If you will come to God in your weakness and you frailness He will give you this understanding and His power will belong to you!

Friends we have just got to forget this morning this thing of human strength and start relying on the power that comes from God!

See Paul learned just what I am preaching here, he had to learn it the same as us, do you know what he said in Second Corinthians the 12th chapter?

When I am weak, then is when I am the strongest.

See that’s different than us today, when we are weak we are weak, but the weaker that we are, if we are sold out to God, the stronger God manifests Himself in us.

So you see our weakness is not an excuse, it’s an opportunity,

AMAN, Lets throw the excuses out the window this morning, and get right down to the place of believing God’s word as it is, Power belongs to God, our text is this morning and He’s ordained to give you and I that Power!

And Isaiah is bringing us to the point this morning of realizing, he let us know that we can’t search it out, it don’t come by wisdom!

How many people set around and think that they cannot be more Powerful for God because they don’t have the education that they think they need to work for God?

Aman, were going to hit it again, we have got to get beyond our physical abilities.

You can have the best physical abilities that there is, and you still can’t be what God wants you to be, but can come in your weakness and your frailty if you submit yourself to God, He can give you Power to be everything that He wants you to be in every way!

Now let’s go on and finish the rest of verse 31 )

He said that even the youth shall faint and be weary and the young men will literally fall,

But, they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;

Thank God, I think that I need to touch that thought of waiting on the Lord.

Somebody said, well I don’t know what that waiting on the Lord means.

Friend, waiting on the Lord, you can’t defiantly wait on the Lord until you have done everything you can do.

Now there is too many people waiting for God to move today that haven’t done their part.

When the scripture said they that wait upon the Lord, we have got plenty of people waiting on the Lord, they say.

But my friend, waiting on the Lord, aman, means something.

Let’s go to the 40th Psalm, I thing that will be enough to point out what waiting on the Lord really is, what it takes in.
Psalm 40:1
1 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

Now let’s just back up to the 39th psalm and see what he done before he started waiting
Psalm 39:12-13
12 Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.
{Here David is trying to get back to God}

13 O spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence, and be no more.

Now what do you mean to wait patiently?

Then he waited patiently.

First my friend, before you can wait patiently there must be confession!

There must be true desire!

You must make sure that you have cleared yourself, in every way that you can before God, that you have defiantly done your part!

Then you can wait patiently.

On the Lord, and it will not be long until he will incline in to your cry, he will hear it!

Certainly God let’s us wait a little time sometime just a little while patiently.

It’s pretty hard on us in this fast age to have to wait just a little.

I heard just the other day about a man that was praying for patience, and he told God I want patience and I want it right now!

Friend, we are not waiting on God until we have confessed, we have done our part defiantly.

Then we can wait on God.

And when we wait on God, He will hear us.

You have got to do all that you can do, and you have got to ask the Lord to come into your heart, and to give you strength and to give you power and then wait upon the Lord and He will do the rest!

Aman, well someone said, how does waiting on God, back to
Isaiah 40:31 seems like I got hung up here.
31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; ( how does waiting on the Lord renew our strength?

Some might say, well many different scriptures come to mind, and I would just like to hook right in with that, that this renewal has to take place daily.
Right here is a lesson that too many people don’t realize,
2 Corinthians 4:16
16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed, come on, come on,
This is why you get old, you have got have some renuzit, every day, how is the inward man renewed?

You might say, How, is that inward man renewed, day by day, by that daily contact with God,

Were talking about renewing our strength,

There’s too many Christians today that’s weaker today than they used to be,

We hear people say all of the time that they used to be able to speak right out for God and to ask people to come to church, but what has happened?

The secret of your loss is found right here in these scriptures that were talking about this morning, we have to have that daily renewal with God,

That waiting on the Lord everyday.

Aman, daily renewal, Isaiah said they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.

Somebody said, how do they renew their strength?

First of all, to realize God’s presence in the press of things is always the great secret of serenity.

Brother, it makes no difference what oppressive things your in, in your daily vocation of life, mabey in the problems with the children in the home as a mother.

Or the problems in the press of the work of the factory or the neighborhood whatever it may be.

In the press of the thing to be able to get into that secret closet with God.

That asking Him for forgiveness of anything mistakes that we might make, that constant praying spirit, that we need to posses.

You need to daily get into prayer with God and pour your heart out to Him and keep that communion with Him the way that pleases Him and have His Spirit bear a fresh witness with your spirit,

That you are His child, friend that will give you strength right there, there is something about the press of things that makes you feel alone.

This is why you call a sister up, this is why you call the pastor up, you call somebody, won’t you pray for me, why?

You feel so alone, you feel like you are fighting alone.

But thank God, That little talk with Jesus, that getting a hold of God and having the freshness of that fresh witness, child, don’t forget, I am your father.

Child, don’t forget, I promised to fight your battles.

Here you are getting ready to fight, you can’t fight.

There isn’t a thing in the Bible that tells us to fight,

He said to put on the whole armor of God, but after you get it on what did He tell you to do?

After you get it on, and you have done all to stand, He didn’t tell you to fight He said to STAND, why?

God from the Old Testament all the way to the New, said I’ll fight your battles for you, you don’t need to do any fighting, you do need to be in the battle, but you don’t fight,
God just had you put on the armor so that you wouldn’t get hurt,

He will fight your battles.

I say my friend that we get our strength renewed in prayer.

If people could see where prayer fits into the life of a Christian we wouldn’t be forcing ourselves to pray, and making ourselves to pray, the whole attitude of looking at it is wrong,

This is why He said ask.

Somebody said, why did He say ask?

Why did He keep saying ask?

Do you know why?

God won’t force feed.

God won’t ever force feed His children.

If you are to ever get any strength from Him you have got to ask, ask, ask, ask, and all you have to do to get weak is to go along and not ask.

Oh, God didn’t come on me.

No, God won’t come on you.

The law of God is, that you ask!

And you will receive!
AMAN
To realize God’s presence in the press of things brings strength.

I say, that it is a restorative medicine, God is in Himself.

How does this renewed strength reveal it’s self?
First of all it detaches and up lifts us, he said they that wait upon the Lord shall renew there strength and they will mount up with wings as eagles.

Friend that spending time with God detaches and up lifts us, we think of the eagle as he soars aloft, far above the ground,

The Word of God lets us know that we will mount up with wings as eagles, where in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

See there is no way to get up to those heavenly places but with eagle wings.

Rev. 4:7 tells you this, you can’t walk up there, you can’t there with a ladder, no way to get there but with eagle wings.

The Power of God’s Word and Spirit as you spend time in prayer will lift you up!

And I say it with all kindness, but one reason, Church of God this morning and you quote me on this because it is true.

One reason.

Let me say it right, now, Lord help me.

We are much troubled about division among God’s people,

And I want you to see this morning my friend.

That we never will see some things healed until we can get the individuals that claim to be the Church of God up to a higher position, they are living too low.

If the church will come down on her knees do more waiting on God, till God moves and gives them individually this eagle kind of experience, this lifted up experience.

Brother, when you get up high, come on now.

Do you know when things look big to me?

I am just preaching right out of my heart, I am preaching experience right along with the Word.

Do you know when things look like mountains to me?

When I am not high enough with my experience with God,

See, I know exactly what Jesus meant about having enough faith to move a mountain.

Faith as a grain of mustard seed, will remove a mountain.

But the kind of faith that some people have now, faith like a mountain couldn’t move a mustard seed,

Come on we get hung up on little things, we get throwed for a loss.
You hear people say it’s such a little thing, nobody should have had trouble with this, but it got me down, a mustard seed around your neck, and you can’t get up,

Now when do things look big to me?

When I get down spiritually.

Now come on, come on,

When do things look big to me?

Now I am talking about myself cause I don’t want you to get hurt.

When do things look big to me?

When I am down Spiritually.

Oh, brother,

I take a look and there’s mountains all around me, and I almost get ready to pray old Elijah’s prayer, Lord come take me, there isn’t no way out, they have got me closed in with mountains, there are mountains everywhere.

Just mountains everywhere and there isn’t anywhere to go, I can’t go forward, I can’t go backwards, I can’t go to the right or the left, there is mountains everywhere.

Here is this mountain, here is that mountain, I’ll not name out things, but too big to get over.

Then that’s when I get down on my knees and pour my heart out to God, and tell Him what a baby you have been, how bad you need help.

Pour your heart out before Him, and do you know what will happen?

It won’t be long until you will wait patiently, now come on, it is hard to do.

Because while you are waiting, the telephone will ring or your wife will say suppers ready, the devil will see to it that something will bother you.

But you wait patiently until the lord moves on you, you get your strength renewed.

And do you know the first thing that will happen?

You will mount up, first thing you know you will go to looking, what happened to those mountains?

Where are they, where did they go?

And it won’t be long until I will look up and all of the mountains will be gone!

When you get up high enough big things look mighty little, and do you know what if you will go up just a little higher you won’t even be able to see them,

Praise God, if you will just get your heart right with Him and let Him into your life,

Now do you know why God’s people are divided today?

The great percentage of them are living too low.

They have let little old ugly attitudes get into their heart, pull them down spiritually and when we are down spiritually the enemy groups us off and we can’t see the other saints because there is a wall between us.

But all you need to do is to sell out and do some mounting up and you can get up high enough where you can’t see a wall.

Those mountains in you life will go away,

You have got to have that mounting up experience with God in your life and then you will be filled with that power that can only come from God!

Aman, that is God’s means of unity, this is what Jesus prayed for in the 17th Chapter.

I know one day when I was studying that scripture and Isaiah said they that wait upon the Lord renew their strength.
They will mount up with wings as the eagles and they will run and not be weary they will walk and not faint.

I said to myself, boy when I get over in heaven, I am going to have a talk with Isaiah about that.

He doesn’t understand too well.

He has got people flying, running, then walking.

I said that he should have taught it that they will walk, then run and then fly.

But it didn’t take God very long to straighten me out.

See, you will fly first.

You get down on your knees and wait on the Lord, then you have this mounting up experience, where you get lifted up into the Spirit.

God gives you power, you fly first, then thank God you can run and not get weary, and then you can walk and not faint but you have got to fly first!

Aman, you have got to have that mounting up experience!

Were in a day and age of believeism!

People talk about faith and they say, just believe and they are not getting a thing.

But the preacher said, just believe and they go on trying to believe but they are not getting anything.

Now I believe in believeism, but I also believe in receiveism.

The bible say’s as many as receive Him, to them they be Powered to become the Sons of God, even of them who believe on His name!

My bible say’s this morning, if you will wait patiently on the Lord, he will renew your strength.

It is a God given in His Word, it can’t fail, you will have a mounting up experience!

God didn’t say that you might have an experience, He said that if you would believe in Him you will have that experience!

You will mount up!

Ask and He will give you what you ask for!

You will start running!

That same steadfastness that got a hold of the morning time church will get a hold of you!

Brother, you will run, you won’t run part of the time, you will run steady!

You won’t run off and run on, you will run steadfast!

And you will walk in the light and you will never get weary walking in the light of God’s Word!

Somebody say’s, oh you think that experience is for us?

There is no thinking about it!

Just as sure as we are here that experience is for us to enjoy!

My, my, my, I just want to say a few more things and then I will have to preach on power some other morning.

Let me say just a few more things about that.

Somebody said, that Isaiah said that you would fly, you would run, and you would walk, that’s right.

I say my friend, it looks like an anti-climax of descending promises, but truly the promises from good to better and better to best!

Now come on, that mounting up experience that you have in your soul where your lifted up, how many of you have ever had a mounting up experience?

My Lord, there’s a field of people here that needs this.

Never had a mounting up experience, how long have you lived for God?

Do you know what’s going on today?

People’s going to their prayer chamber and come away just as empty as they went in.

And little by little that kind of action, is building up unbelief to the place where the devil is making people doubt whether it even pays to pray any more.

Aman!

Wait patiently.

Well I could allow myself to widen out.

We know the fulfillment of Isaiah prophecy, they that wait upon the lord, shall renew their strength.

The fulfillment of that was on the day of Pentecost.

Read it verse by verse real carefully and you’ll see the fulfillment.

Brother they had that ten day prayer meeting and then they waited.
They wasn’t down to the alter praying, frothing at the mouth, grunting like a hog, they had prayed through and were setting down.

Waiting, waiting on the Lord.

And Isaiah had promised that they that wait upon the Lord would renew their strength!

And thank God, when the day of Pentecost was fully come, just as soon as the time was fulfilled, thank God, suddenly there came a sound from heaven as the mighty rushing wind!

It filled the whole house and filled everyone!

I ask you did they get up?

Did they fly like eagles?

Brother, down the stairs, out into the streets, whew, everywhere, make like an eagle!

What’s the matter?

Are they drunk?

No, were not drunk, thank God, they came down from their flight and they could walk and they could run and they didn’t get weary!

This Power that belongs to God, belongs to everyone of us, it belongs to us!

Nobody but the devil, don’t want you to have it!

Aman, nobody but the devil, don’t want you to have it!

God wants you to have it!

Jesus wants you to have it!

The Holy Spirit wants you to have it!

We want you to have it!

And you can have it, it’s for you, it’s for you.

It’s part of the inheritance that god has given us!

Just as sure as we are here!

So when we think about that mounting up as eagles, my friend, we see the strength to soar, means the gracious power of bringing heaven into our grasp and setting our affections on things above.

Then we are able to walk.

Friend, I want to tell you something.

Until you get an old, good old up to date.

I mean something like June 02, 2002 blessing, a June 02, 2002 blessing, where God just souses you with the joys of heaven,

Thank God for a little while, Aman,

He just souses you with the joys of heaven, and you talk about something that will cut affections loose from the things of this world!

Just get in a good heavenly atmosphere, let God bless your soul like He wants to!

You won’t have no trouble setting your affections up!

And brother, when you get your affections set up where they belong then you won’t have no trouble walking through this old world and your affections running off this way and that way!

You won’t get weary in this Christian life, no, no, no. it will be a blessing to you all the way!

God not only uplift’s and attaches us but I want you to get something now.

Every waiter, now think with me now, every waiter is a runner.

They that wait shall run.

Every waiter is a runner, not a sitter.

Now the prophet had much to say back in the 33rd chapter of Ezekiel, about they come as my people and they sit as my people.

But God hasn’t got any sitters, everyone of them is runners!

Aman!

Some people been setting, oh how they love to set.

They come as my people they dress as my people they sing as my people they sit as my people

But everyone that waits upon the Lord is a runner!

And a walker!

Aman, somebody said what are you talking about?

This thing my friend, of having nothing to do is a dead give away.

Now come on, I am fair in my preaching, God is not expecting invalid folks and people that are old and up in years to do what the young people do.

But I am saying that every Child of God has got a race to run.

And no matter old you are or how invalid you may feel, come on now, you haven’t finished your race yet, you haven’t finished your race yet, you’re still on the track.

You’re going to have to get daily sustenance to run.

You may not be able to go down the street and wittiness on the sidewalk, but you can work a telephone.

And if you can’t even dial a telephone or if you don’t even have one you can pray!

One of the greatest shortages that we have today is prayer warriors, we have got plenty of people that will blow off at the mouth, we need people that will pray!

Aman, I mean pray!

Did you ever stop and think of the privileges of prayer if you get right into it?

If you get right into it at 6:00 in the morning, really sell out and get into it, or mabey 3:00 in the morning.

When ever God wakes you up.

Get right into it!

You can take a trip around the world and it won’t cost you nothing.

I mean get right into it!

You may have never been to Haiti, but if you get right into it and I am real burdened for people that are starving not physically but spiritually.

Friends, if God so carried you away in the Spirit, Aman, and planted your mind in Haiti so that you can feel that burden as if you had looked on it with the physical eye,

And when you get through there, He will get you back on His jet and take you right over into China and let you down there, and you can do some praying there.

And you might stop back by Washington, God knows, they need prayer.

An old time saint that really used to believe into getting into praying, a Minister came to visit her one morning and he knocked a long time.

She didn’t come and he kept knocking, he could hear her in there, praying, pouring her heart out, and he knocked again and he knocked again four or five times and she didn’t come, finally she did come.

She said I am sorry brother.
But when you knocked I was right in the middle of China and it took me a while to get back.

Oh, it’s not that real with you is it?

My friend, we need to realize as never before what the Spirit of God can do with us, if we are willing to cut loose and let Him take us!

Aman, still talking about praying,

Every waiter is a runner, not a sitter.

God help us to realize that.

Nobody but nobody waited on God that wasn’t a runner.

And I just want you to know some things about a runner and then we will quit, I know this message has been long.

There is something about a runner, he jumps the low places that the walkers sometimes go through.

He said that you will run!

Next thing a runner stays warm, you never saw a luke warm runner.

Third thing, runners don’t cuss, cause any trouble, runners never gossip.
Can you just imagine two fellows running the 440 or running the mile, come on now, get up here with me, if they were running the mile trying to get a prize.

Aman, and they are using every bit of strength that they have, and I was to say, hey did you hear about so and so?

No sir, you wouldn’t waste an ounce of breath on talking about somebody.

Why?

Well you are just going to make it.

You can point the sitters out.

They know more about other peoples business than the people do.

You can point the sitters out, they know just exactly how the game ought to be played.

But they have never carried the ball once.

Because of that strife comes up, envy, hatred, malice.

You may not agree with me, but the greatest need that we have got among the Church of God, is to get our individual members, back to the place of getting a hold of God in their individual lives.
Aman, and sell out God and come down on their face before God, like David did.

Lord I don’t want to go hence in the shape that I am in, I need strength, I need Power!

And Your Word has promised me this morning, every one that wait’s upon the Lord, will get a strength renewal!

They will get Power in their lives.

Lord, I want a mounting up experience.

I may not get it this morning at an altar of prayer, but I am making the commitment here this morning, I am yielding my self to You this morning!

I may be at my bed side, burning some midnight oil, praying for that mounting up experience, Lord I want that strength.

I want to be able to run like You want me to run and I want to be able to walk and not get weary.

I want that experience that Brother Pruitt talked about where the mountains disappear.

See, you thought that God was going to take a bull dozer and move it out.

No, He just lifts you above it.
And the mountains gone, the mountains gone, just as smooth sailing as if the mountain had never been there.

Aman!

Friend this morning, this experience is for every Child of God.

Right back to my beginning text and then I will quit.

Once I have heard it, twice have I heard this,

Power belongs to God.

Romans 8: 16-17, His Spirit, bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God, and if children of God then heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ.

Ye shall receive this Power, after this the Holy Ghost is come upon you.

Aman, oh I pray that God will help us this morning to see many things that we have mentioned hurriedly through the message and I don’t want to rehearse it again.

But I merely want to say this, we are in a world that needs the fear of God brought back on them as never before.

Now we just might as well wake up, it is not going to come through Washington, it’s not going to come through Communism.
If Communism makes it’s deadly move, if Jesus would tarry that long, it will be too late to wake up then.

Friends, if the fear of God ever comes back, it is going to come just like it come on people in every age, through God’s people, moving, in a Godly, righteously and Godly manor.

Living steadfast lives, letting the world know that they fear God.

Not with a fear that false religion fears God, but a reverential fear, a respectful fear, and the following will be, I could read other scriptures in Acts that tell the same thing.

Fear fell on every soul, fear fell on every soul.

I ask you this morning, in closing.

Are we really interested in having a revival, or are we just going to have another meeting?

But do we really want a revival?

A revival, is when the Saints of God come to a new level of steadfast obedience.

And a real revival in the church always produces an evangelistic effort, of many soul’s being saved.

Just as soon as Zion travails, if you will allow me to use plain language, just as soon as Zion gets down to business, she brings forth her children.

Let’s get down to business this morning.

Only the devil is keeping you from getting this power, only the devil is standing in your way, with his feeble temptations, of a better life.

Only the devil is trying to stop you from getting this power that God wants us to have!

You who have not yet accepted God into your life, 100%, and are still toying with the idea, come on ahead and give your heart to Him this morning, start the week out right!

Do it now while God is still knocking at your hearts door!

Don’t let the devil defeat you, tell him to get out of your way, tell him that this is the day that I am getting you out of my life forever,

This is the day that I am going to fly like an eagle,

This is the day that I am going to fly higher than my problems this is the day that the Lord hath made, and He made it for my new life!

Let’s bow our heads one more time.
Father, we thank Thee, for the strength that you give us.

My God, we thank You for the anointing, we thank Thee for Thy Word and we humble our self.

My God, this is not our message in anyway it is Your message.
And we pray that the people this morning will receive it as Your message.

My Lord, we ask that you hear our prayers, we ask that you will come into the lives of each and everyone here this morning.

And that You will give us the understanding of your word that we need,

God we just ask that you will give us strength to go out into the world this next week and that you will be with each and every one of us,

And that you will give us the ability to ask others to come to church with us, so we can grow and give furtherance to your kingdom here on earth.

And we ask that you will go with each of us as we leave here this morning and we will give you all the glory, in Jesus name,

30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

Merely teaching us this my friend, that this is something, Aman, beyond the human.
